The Dance Studio of Maine,
Inc has been in operation
since 1952. It was founded by Virginia Dorr who originally named it Virginia Dorr School of Dance. Then Carole Jordan purchased the business from
Virginia Dorr and renamed it the Dance Studio of Maine. Patricia
and Shonn Moulton who are now the third generation of owners, purchased the business from Carole in 2001. |

About Trish Moulton: |
| |
Trish Moulton is far
more than a dance teacher. She is the President of the
Gorham Civic and Business Exchange as well as chairs and
volunteers for the Exchange's many volunteer efforts that
promote small businesses in the Gorham and its surrounding
community. She has also volunteered her time to Project
Graduations, Strive Dance-A-Thon, and to U.S.M. to help with
children who are foster children. |

About Shonn Moulton: |
|
| |
Shonn has been involved
with the studio for the last few years as the business manager.
He takes care of the advertising, marketing, and enrollment.
He is also an elected official on the Gorham Town Council and
sits as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also
volunteers with the Gorham Business and Civic Exchange to help
promote small businesses in the Gorham area. |

The Dance Studio of
Maine reaches out into the surrounding communities and brings
the dance classes to you! We have taught at Unum,
Counseling Services, Inc in Saco, Purple Crayon Daycare in
Portland, and currently have programs running with the
South Portland School system, Prides Corner Pre-School in
Westbrook, Cottage Road Pre-School in South Portland, University
of New England, University of Southern Maine, and more.

The Dance
Studio of Maine, Inc now has over 450 students ranging from 2.5 year olds up to our oldest student who is 70.
We have three classrooms and 6,000 sq ft of studio space to
accommodate any class size needed. We are a family oriented dance studio. One family who attends has 3 generations currently taking class. We have had students come to us from other dance schools and feel like part of the family the second they step into class.
We also have students from as far away as Bridgton, Lewiston,
Bath, and parts of New Hampshire to take part in our classes and
workshops. We have featured workshops from dance greats
such as Blake McGrath and Kenny from MTV's Dance
Life and Jessica Starr and TJ Zarling. |

centers in the Casco Bay region. Whether you are coming
from Westbrook, Portland, Scarborough, or anywhere in the state
of Maine, we are your one and only dance center for you and your
family. We feel that we have a no pressure atmosphere. Yet you still get outstanding dance training
from our professional and fully trained staff. If you just want to have fun we have that
and if you want to train to be a professional we can get you there.
